Concierge Visits for Assisted Living Residents

Golden Steward provides structured, non-medical concierge visits for aging parents living in assisted living, senior living, and nursing communities throughout South Florida. We provide a consistent local presence for families who live far away or cannot visit as often as they would like, while working alongside—not replacing—the community’s existing staff and services.

🟡 Companionship, Connection & Engaged Visits

• Provide meaningful companionship through unrushed conversation, reading, games, music, hobbies, or other interests.

• Encourage participation in community activities, social events, exercise classes, or enrichment programs based on the resident’s interests.

• Take walks around the community or spend time outdoors when appropriate.

• Enjoy lunch, coffee, or an outing together when appropriate and permitted by the community.

• Recognize birthdays, holidays, personal milestones, and other moments that matter to the resident.

• Maintain familiarity with the resident’s interests, preferences, routines, and what matters to them from one visit to the next.

🟡Everyday Observation & Family Visibility

• Notice changes in the resident’s room, personal environment, routines, or everyday needs that may be difficult for family members to see from a distance.

• Pay attention to general mood, engagement, and participation during the visit.

• Notice whether personal items, clothing, supplies, or other everyday necessities may need attention.

• Communicate appropriate observations or family requests to community staff when authorized.

• Keep authorized family members informed through the same-day Steward Report after each visit.

• Check the resident’s personal vehicle when applicable and requested by the family.

🟡 Errands & Logistics

• Pick up personal items, household supplies, groceries, or other requested necessities.

• Assist with scheduling and coordinating personal appointments, services, or other non-medical needs.

• Accompany the resident to appointments, errands, shopping, lunch, or other outings when requested.

• Help coordinate vehicle service, maintenance, or other practical needs outside the community.

• Be present for deliveries, service providers, or other arrangements when appropriate and permitted by the community.

• Help with custom family requests that fall within Golden Steward’s non-medical concierge role.

🟡 Technology Help & Scam Awareness

• Help residents use smartphones, tablets, computers, televisions, and other everyday technology.

• Set up and guide video calls, messaging, and other ways to stay connected with family and friends.

• Help residents recognize suspicious calls, texts, emails, messages, or online activity and encourage safer technology habits.

• Provide patient help with apps, accounts, email, social media, and everyday technology questions.

🟡 Celebrations & Enrichment

• Recognize birthdays, holidays, family milestones, and other meaningful occasions with personalized touches.

• Help plan or coordinate small celebrations, lunches, outings, or special activities within community guidelines.

• Bring seasonal décor, favorite foods, flowers, gifts, or other meaningful items requested by the family.

• Help maintain family traditions and personal interests that make celebrations and everyday life feel more personal.

🟡 Family Communication

• Provide a same-day Steward Report after every visit, summarizing what was observed, what was accomplished, and anything that may warrant the family’s attention.

• Share appropriate observations about the resident’s general mood, engagement, routines, and everyday needs.

• Include optional photos when appropriate, with consent, so authorized family members can share in moments from the visit.

• Keep authorized family members informed between their own visits through consistent, clear communication.

Additional Concierge Requests

Every family’s needs are different. Appropriate requests can be incorporated into visits based on your parent’s lifestyle, preferences, and your family’s priorities. When a request falls outside Golden Steward’s non-medical role, we will communicate that clearly and, when appropriate, coordinate with the professional best suited to handle it.
